Klaus Bollinger and Manfred Grohmann founded the office Bollinger+Grohmann in Frankfurt in 1983. Over the past 40 years, our office has been involved in the development of design and construction and has made a name for itself in particular regarding free forms beyond geometric regularity.
Our services range from structural and façade engineering, building physics and sustainability, geometry development and BIM to fire engineering and site supervision.
Today, we have around 400 employees at 18 branches worldwide. Manfred Grohmann and Klaus Bollinger have been supported at the management level for many years by younger partners and managing directors at individual branches.

Since the office was founded, we have been driven by a passion for high-quality architecture and innovative structures. We see ourselves as partners within an interdisciplinary planning team and develop tailored solutions with architects and clients, construction companies and industry, and the involved specialist planners.
Today, we have tools and methods that enable us to reinterpret common structures and develop project-specific solutions. Our team has helped drive this process through its love of experimentation in designing structures and developing digital tools.
Knowing that the enormous resource consumption of the building industry requires a rediscovery of material-saving construction, we try to bring aspects of material efficiency, structural diversity and the use of local resources into the joint discussion already in the early planning stages.
In addition to technical innovation, we stand for dialogue in partnership and respectful interaction with all parties involved. We are convinced that sustainable solutions only emerge harmoniously with technical and social progress.
